We’ve recently launched a KnowledgeBase page on the Ordnance Survey website. It’s an excellent place to visit to find out definitive information on popular topics relating to geography and maps.
The topics we’ve added so far are some of the most frequently asked questions for our excellent Customer Service Centre team. As you can imagine, they need an enormous depth of knowledge to answer the varied questions that come in from the Great British public (and occasionally beyond).
The topics we’ve added so far include the National Grid (what it is, how it works, its history, true and false geographical origins and links to useful tools); property boundaries and who records them (always a hot topic); and information on our mapping for emergencies service.
There are lost more topics available too and the page is sure to grow too. Have a look and let us know what you think.
