- ‘Park at the Challow walkers car park (free, only about 10 spaces though). Ascend Brenscombe hill, turn left to the end for fabulous views of the ruined Corfe Castle. Retrace steps east and follow the top of the down with fabulous views of Swanage, Studland and Poole. Steep descent to the road, and then steep ascent up Ballard Down. Easy all the way past the pinnacles and Old Harry down into Studland. Then follow route past Agglestone Rock path, across dunes and heath and into forest plantation. Back to Bushey along the dismantled tramway. Stop at Corfe for delicious purbeck ice-cream or cakes or pub.’
