Urban Heaths - Reducing environmental crime 
In the first full year of the Urban Heaths LIFE project, there was a 48% reduction in heathland fires.

Dorset Fire and Rescue service is working with Dorset County Council, the police, conservationists and other local authorities on the Urban Heaths LIFE Project which uses a geographical information system (GIS) to record heathland damage in an online database that can be accessed by all partners.
