Geographic information can address many of these, delivering:
Improving green waste recycling using OS MasterMap® Topography Layer
The Western Riverside Waste Authority (WRWA) is responsible for the management and disposal of rubbish collected by several London boroughs. To meet their 2005–06 recycling targets, the WRWA constituent boroughs had to continue to improve existing recycling services for residents.
Optimising waste collection using OS MasterMap® Integrated Transport Network™ Layer
As part of the first stage of a county-wide programme, the Northamptonshire Waste Partnership has enabled Daventry District Council to rationalise the number of domestic waste collection routes from nine to eight, reducing diesel costs by 12%, increasing spare capacity by 14% and eliminating overtime costs.
We'd like to discuss your geographical information needs in greater detail. In the first instance, please email us and we'll suggest how to take this forward.
OS MasterMap® Topography Layer
Our flagship large-scale, polygonised and seamless topographic database product, it offers clear and customisable on-screen mapping, plus the facility to overlay your own data, making it ideal for targeting green waste recycling.
OS MasterMap® Integrated Transport Network™ Layer
An accurate, detailed and up-to-date digital map of Great Britain’s road structure, it shows all navigable roads across Great Britain and route information such as width, weight and height restrictions that will help you plan your collection routes.
The most complete, comprehensive, national spatial address dataset for the whole of Great Britain, it includes alternative geographical addresses, buildings without a postal address and multi-occupancy properties. Use it track your distribution of bins and membership of garden waste recycling schemes.
