Using ESRI Productivity Suite to create ITN network

Hi all

I am trying to build a network using the new version of the Productivity Suite from ESRI UK. I can successfully build a network that recognises One-Way streets and No Entry signs. However, I can't get the network to recognise inferred / mandatory turn restrictions and my "traffic" regularly flaunts the rule of the road by treating traffic islands as roundabouts. The feature classes in the feature dataset (in a personal geodatabase) definitely contain turn restriction information.

Has anyone had a successful experience of getting the turn restrictions to work? I have read the white paper about ESRI and ITN but it says nothing about the turn restrictions (http://www.esriuk.com/literature/documents/ITN_wp.pdf).

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have used the ESRI ITN Data Preparation Tool (that is supplied as part of the Productivity Suite v1.1) to generate a few Network Datasets without any problems.

Although the tool produces all of the turn restriction feature classes (ITN_TurnRestrictions; ITN_MandatoryTurnRestrictions and ITN_InferredTurnRestrictions [which includes No Entries, Access Limited To and Access Prohibited To restrictions]) - it does set them to be used [for network analysis] by default, i.e. you will need to turn on within the Route Layer Properties dialog box (under Analysis Settings). Once you have changed this setting - you should not have any problems with Network Analyst not recognising the turn restrictions.

BTW - ESRI have just released an updated version of the ITN White Paper (which specifically relates to the Productivity Suite v1.1):
http://www.esriuk.com/literature/documents/Using%20OS%20MasterMap%20ITN%20with%20ArcGIS%20v%202.0.pdf

This paper describes all the feature classes/tables that the ITN Data Preparation Tool creates for routing - along with examples of how to add extra functionality to your Network Dataset.
