road names...

I have ITN data for my local town which I have stored in a database but I also need the road names. I downloaded the topography data as I thought I would be able to use <osgb:referenceToTopographicArea> to match the two up but for every RoadLink I tried there was no match.
Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible with this data?

Thanks.

I can confirm that ITN data does contain road name and numbering.

The reason that you seem to be missing the data is most likely to do with the relational structure of ITN (see link to ITN Technical Demo below). The road name and numbering is stored in what OS refer to as a Road Member and this has a relationship with all the individual road links that reference a road member e.g. the Road Member for the M25 has reference to all the individual road links that make up the M25.

I believe that the software you have used has created this information in the form of some tables it is just a case of locating these tables and joining them together. Locate the table which holds the Road Name and numbering information and also the cross reference table that links together the Road name and numbers information to the Road link information. By joining these tables together you will be able to retrieve the road name information you require.
