About the product

Land-Form PROFILE Plus is a high-accuracy, high-resolution height dataset for use in modelling applications and prediction analysis.

Land-Form PROFILE Plus is a digital terrain model; that is a grid of points, each containing a height value of a point on the ground that can be used to underpin digital mapping to visualise the third dimension. It models the height of ground points, including those below surface features such as buildings and vegetation.

Where this differs from our existing products is that its resolution is greater: by reducing the space between points the data becomes more granular, and its high vertical accuracy makes it a powerful tool in the engineering, planning and insurance industries.

Features

• +/- 0.5 m RMSE on a 2 m grid in selected urban and flood plain areas;
• +/- 1.0 m RMSE on a 5 m grid in rural areas;
• +/- 2.5 m RMSE on a 10 m grid in mountain and moorland areas;
• existing Land-Form PROFILE data infill where no higher accuracy data has been captured;
• edgematched within improved areas;
• not edgematched between improved areas and Land-Form PROFILE points;
• 3 formats – NTF, DXF^TM, ArcGRID; and 
• 5 km² tiles.
