Plotting from aerial imagery

I am sending 2 scanned photos, a 1941 Ordnance Survey map of the area and a close up with the patch of ground which now has my bungalow xxxxxx on it . Please would  you map to the most accurate modern day accuracy within millimetres if it is possible my plot of ground which does not have any building on it [in the 1946 photographs] and the surrounding properties as on the Ordnance Survey map 1941.

I have attached the photograph with the green square over the area in order to select the correct area for you. I have drawn a spot where I  think it would be possible to locate on the ground today using trig points on a blow up photo which I have also included.

Please ask me for any more details to clarify this. Thank you very much for your help. I was told that measurements need to be both precise and accurate to 10mm and should be taken from at least 2 defined points on surrounding permanent features and on a scale no smaller than 1/200.

Thank you for your two clarification e-mails dated 23rd April 2010. I regret to inform you that Ordnance Survey is unable to help you with your enquiry, under Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act – Access to Information held by Public Authorities.

Having received and reviewed your clarification, you are actually requesting Ordnance Survey to perform a non standard service to create ‘an item’ to your required specification, and not asking Ordnance Survey to disclose information we hold.

I am sorry I am not able to assist you in this matter. The Freedom of Information Act 2000 is an Act to make provision for the disclosure of information held by public authorities, which your request on this occasion does not relate.

Following our telephone discussion of Thursday 29th April 2010, it may be possible that an independent firm of Surveyors would be able to assist in providing the service you require, and we suggest you may like to contact such a firm to discuss your requirements with them in full.
