Suppliers payments

I would like to request information the amount of time it takes your organisation to pay suppliers.  I am requesting:

1.  Since 8 October 2008 to date, the percentage of suppliers’ invoices that a) have and b) have not been paid within 10 days.

2.  Since 8 October 2008 to date, a) the number of suppliers who have not been paid within 10 days and b) the total value of the suppliers’ invoices concerned. 

3.  Since 8 October 2008 to date, a) how much the organisation paid to suppliers in interest for late payment pursuant to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and b) the total value of the suppliers’ invoices concerned.

4. Since 1 April 2008, how much the organisation paid to suppliers in interest for late payment pursuant to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and b) the total value of the suppliers’ invoices concerned.

Thank you for your e-mail dated 8th February 2010. We are pleased to provide you with the following information with regard to your request, and respond to your questions as follows:

1.  Since 8 October 2008 to date, the percentage of suppliers’ invoices that a) have and b) have not been paid within 10 days.

 a) Since October 2008 to date 58% of suppliers invoices have been paid within 10 days.

 b) Since October 2008 to date 42% of suppliers invoices have not been paid within 10 days.

2.  Since 8 October 2008 to date, a) the number of suppliers who have not been paid within 10 days and b) the total value of the suppliers’ invoices concerned. 

 a) The  number of suppliers who have not been paid within 10 days from 8th October 2008 to date are - 579.

  b) The total value of the suppliers invoices concerned is £41,990,145.92.

3.  Since 8 October 2008 to date, a) how much the organisation paid to suppliers in interest for late payment pursuant to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and b) the total value of the suppliers’ invoices concerned.

 Nil

4. Since 1 April 2008, how much the organisation paid to suppliers in interest for late payment pursuant to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and b) the total value of the suppliers’ invoices concerned.

Nil

Please note that your enquiry has been processed to Freedom of Information guidelines.  As all requested information has been provided, we have determined that in all the circumstances of this case the Public interest consideration (section 17 FOIA) is not applicable in this instance.
