Organisational structure and managers job titles

Under the Freedom Of Information Act I am interested in the organisational structure of your organisation, and would like to request a full structure chart including names and job titles of all managers.

Please find below my contact details and address. My preference is to receive these details in electronic form (by email).

Thank you for your e-mail dated 20th May 2010. I am pleased to provide you with the attached information with regard to your request. Please be aware that not all the relevant information Ordnance Survey holds has been provided within this response, as parts of it fall within the Personal Information exemption under section 40 (2) (a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

We believe this exemption applies because there is an expectation that staff working for Ordnance Survey will not have their personal information released, unless that information is already in the public domain through the Annual Report or Civil Service Yearbook, therefore we will not be releasing this information to you.

To the extent that the Public interest test applies (section 17 FOIA), we have determined that in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in releasing the names of all staff in this manner does not outweigh that of disclosure.

Please note that your enquiry has been processed to Freedom of Information guidelines. If you are unhappy with our response, you may raise an appeal to our Appeals Officer at:

Please include the reference number below. The Appeals Officer will ensure that the process has been followed correctly, questioning any decisions taken regarding the original response and recommending disclosure of additional information if appropriate.

Thank you for your enquiry.
