Ordnance Survey – Great Britain's national mapping agency
I am interested in the amounts paid by department in the Ordnance Survey to IT contractors and contractor representatives. My hope is to receive an electronic breakdown of amounts paid via the departments purchase ledger.
1. I would like this information in electronic format. This should avoid any printing cost issues.
2. In order to avoid you having to collate information from peripheral systems, I am willing to accept information only from your main systems. If supplier payments are made through separate systems, then I would like you to choose the main system for each.
3. The information I require for each department, supplier name and total amount paid (only for IT contractors)
4. I would like this information to cover the year 2009/2010 I will accept figures 2008/2009 if this is not possible.
Thank you for your e-mail dated 7th December 2010. The information you have requested is exempt under section 21 (1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) as it is ‘Information Accessible to applicant by other means’.
This information is available to you in electronic format on the Communities and Local Government (CLG) website. CLG is fully committed to the Government's transparency agenda, and in support has published data confirming the central Department's expenditure (including Ordnance Survey) with suppliers for year 6 April 2009 to 5 April 2010.
The link below will take you to the Ordnance Survey information, and those entries detailed under Lorien (excel spreadsheet lines 3453 - 4467) are those which record the supplier payments to Lorien in financial year 2009-2010. (Lorien is our preferred supplier, and we deal solely with them to fulfil our external labour requirements (IT Contractors):
