Please provide historical mapping detailing my property and the immediate surrounding area, prior to the dates that Ordnance Survey has already provided to me under reference FOI10117.
Thank you for your e-mail dated 10th January 2011. We are pleased to provide you an attachment to this e-mail, which shows the area to which you refer in 1995. This is the earliest date we hold information in this format.
Ordnance Survey closed our historic map archive in July 2008. However if you would like to view historic mapping of the area in question, you are still able to obtain information contained in historical mapping free of charge at your local library. A small charge may be made for a copy, if required. Licensing terms and conditions do apply for mapping which is still within copyright (mapping produced within the last 50 years).
Copyright libraries and The National Archive offer reading and copying facilities for customers willing to visit and carry out their own searches and I have detailed contact information for The National Archive and three copyright libraries below:
