Early Pension Release

We would like to know if any employee of either the Ordnance Survey or Civil Service has been given release of early pension with the condition ME/CFS.

Thank you for your e-mail dated 19th April 2011 I regret to inform you that Ordnance Survey is unable to help you with your enquiry as we do not hold this information for either the civil service or our own department.

We do not hold information for any other civil service departments, and can only comment as follows on information relating to Ordnance Survey.

The reason Ordnance Survey does not hold early release pension information in relation to specific medical conditions is because this is managed under contract by Capita Healthcare Solutions. Documentation relating to personal medical conditions would not be retained by Ordnance Survey and the information is therefore not held in a recorded format.

Pension payments for early pension release would also be unknown by Ordnance Survey, as correspondence of this nature would be between Xafinity Paymaster our pensions provider who deal with the financial element of civil service pensions and the retired member.

You may like to consider contacting Capita Health Solutions to see if they may be able to assist you.  I have located the ‘Retirement for medical advice – ill health retirement’ form on their website, and on this form their contact details are as follows:

Capita healthcare Solutions
Greyfriars
10 Queen Victoria Road
Coventry
CV1 3PJ
Telephone: 02476 500700

If you would like to contact Xafinity Paymaster, the following link will take you to the relevant page of their website:
