Ordnance Survey – Great Britain's national mapping agency
Please can you provide me (via Email) with a list of all street names, including town and county? Please can you provide this data in Excel or Access database format?
Thank you for your e-mail dated 19th April 2011. Ordnance Survey does hold the information you have requested.
We note your preference was to receive this information in e-mail format. However, following receipt failure of the information by e-mail due to incoming file sizes, we are pleased to provide the enclosed disc to the address indicated by you.
As I am sure you will appreciate, there is large volume of information within the files on the disc. The information does exceed the number of rows allowed in a Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet (in excess of 65,536 rows), therefore you will need to ensure your PC memory is large enough to support. You may also need to follow the 'help' instructions to fully access the vast information when you try to open it.
Please note your enquiry has been processed according to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000. As all the requested information has been provided, we have determined that in all the circumstances of this case the Public interest consideration (section 17 FOIA) is not applicable in this instance.
If you are unhappy with our response, you may raise an appeal to our Appeals Officer at:
FOI Appeals Officer
Customer Service Centre
Ordnance Survey
Adanac Drive
SOUTHAMPTON
SO16 0AS
Please include the reference number below. The Appeals Officer will ensure that the process has been followed correctly, questioning any decisions taken regarding the original response and recommending disclosure of additional information if appropriate.
Thank you for your enquiry.
