Outsourcing

1)   Does your organisation have any back office outsourcing contracts in place, if so, could you share a copy of the plan or a summary of the overall strategy and specific functions being outsourced?

(2)  Could you provide some information on the type of contract and length of the contract (including expiry of contract).

(3)   If no contracts currently exist does you organisation have any plans to outsource function in the future?

(4)  Are there any outsourcing partnerships with other public sector organisations? We are particularly interested in back office function such as, Human Resources, finance and accounting, customer services and ICT. 

Thank you for your e-mail dated 12th September 2011.  We respond to each of your questions in turn:

1. Currently, Ordnance Survey does not have any back office outsourcing contracts in place.

2. N/A – see response to your question one.

3. At this time there are no plans to outsource any back office functions.

4. At this time, there are no outsourcing partnerships with other public sector organisations.
