Ordnance Survey – Great Britain's national mapping agency

Date of Survey

Please tell me the Date of the Survey (approximately if not accurately known) that was used to update Map scale 1:1250, 'Change Date' 1 Feb 2000, Grid Reference xxxxxx, approximate Centre xxxxxx. If more detail is required then the area is also known by post code xxxxxx - I need the date the boundaries were surveyed for this map.

Thank you for your e-mail dated 28th September 2011. I can confirm that Ordnance Survey does hold the information you have requested. However, I must advise that the map scale is 1:2500 and not 1:1250 as your request indicates.

The area in question was last updated in 2006 from aerial photography. We are unable to be more specific than this on the date.

We do hold limited information in relation to additional surveying carried out in November 2010.  Although we do not hold specific details of the job, the information suggests that it may concern a boundary feature between two properties.  If this was to be the boundary in question then November 2010 would be the date this boundary was surveyed.

Your enquiry has been processed according to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000. As all the requested information has been provided, we have determined that in all the circumstances of this case the Public interest consideration (section 17 FOIA) is not applicable in this instance.

If you are unhappy with our response, you may raise an appeal to our Appeals Officer at:

Thank you for your enquiry
