Provision of temporary or agency staff

We would like to make a freedom of information request to you under the Freedom of Information Act for details of your current contracts for the provision of temporary or agency staff.

For the avoidance of doubt, we assume that temporary or agency staff contracts refers to the services provided by recruitment agencies for the supply of staff to the organisation on a temporary or contract basis. Our request does not extend to consulting contracts or agreements with sole contractors.

Please complete the attached table below for each separate contract you have

Thank you for your e-mail dated 10th November 2011 and additional e-mail of 11th November 2011.  I am pleased to attach to this e-mail the completed table of the information you have requested. This table details the information for all the current contracts for the provision of temporary or agency staff at Ordnance Survey.

Please note the value of payments made in the financial year 2011/12 is the year to date figure.

Whilst we do hold it, we will not be providing you with the estimated value of all contracts, copies of the PQQ, ITT, contract award and the proposed contract terms and conditions put to suppliers during the tender process (where held), as under Section 12 of the FOIA we consider the cost of compliance with this part of your request to exceed the appropriate limit.

This is because these contracts were let prior to the introduction of our internal Electronic Records Management (ERM) system, and this information is now held in off site storage.  The amount of time required to locate, retrieve and extract the information you have requested would exceed the cost limits, therefore we will not be providing this information to you.

To the extent that the Public interest test applies (section 17 FOIA), we have determined that in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in is not applicable in this instance.

Your enquiry has been processed according to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000. If you are unhappy with our response, you may raise an appeal to our Appeals Officer at:

FOI Appeals Officer
Customer Service Centre
Ordnance Survey
Adanac Drive
SOUTHAMPTON

Please include the reference number below. The Appeals Officer will ensure that the process has been followed correctly, questioning any decisions taken regarding the original response and recommending disclosure of additional information if appropriate.

Thank you for your enquiry.
