Thank you for your e-mailed letter dated 4th January 2012. Ordnance Survey does hold some of the information your have requested and this is provided. Some of the information is not held, and this is detailed where applicable.

'Some time ago Ordnance Survey in conjunction with the Institution of Civil Engineers produced a map titled 'Engineering the Olympics' for distribution to schools. I shall be grateful if you will please give me the following information regarding this publication:

Total cost of production

 - I regret to inform you that Ordnance Survey does not hold this information. The details relating to this 'job' would have been held on our internal system called Optimus.

Following the transition of our print services due to the outsourcing of our print department, which completed in December 2010, this system is no longer supported and we are unable to access the information contained within.

Therefore, the production information which would be held and from which costs could be determined is not held.

Financial support given by the Institution of Civil Engineers

 - No financial support was provided by the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Financial support given by other bodies

 - No financial support was given by other bodies.

Areas in which the map was distributed

 - The map was distributed to Institute of Civil Engineer members only, via the Institute of Civil Engineers, London.

Those bodies or authorities were responsible for its distribution

 - The Institute of Civil Engineers, London was responsible for the distribution.

To the extent that the Public interest test applies (section 17 FOIA), we have determined that in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest is not applicable as the information has either been supplied in full or is not held by Ordnance Survey.
