Request for information – FOI12265
Thank you for your e-mail of 22nd February.
I confirm that Ordnance Survey does hold most of the information you have requested, and where this is not held or an exemption applies this is detailed. We respond to each of your questions in turn.
I would like to find out if you outsource any marketing activities, and I understand that as a part of the Freedom of Information Act we are able to request this information? With this in mind, I would be really grateful if you would please confirm the following:

Our budgets for the April 2012 to March 2013 financial year are currently being finalised and a total figure is not held at this time.
2. What percentage of this budget goes towards outsourcing?
Around 15% of the 2011-12 marketing budget (to date) is considered outsourced marketing activity.
3. Which services do you outsource? (e.g. Paid Search Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing or Telemarketing)
We outsource elements of all of the services detailed in the above question.
4. When should we approach you in order to be considered as a new provider?
5. How should we approach you in order to be considered as a new provider?
The information to respond to your question 4 and 5 is exemption under Section 21 of the FOIA – Information accessible to applicant by other means, which is an absolute exemption and requires no public interest test.
This exemption applies because we already make this information available on our website at the following link:
