I confirm Ordnance Survey does hold the information you have requested and responds to each of your questions in turn.  Please note that some of the information you have requested is exempt and this is detailed where applicable.

1. What are the current staff numbers?

The current number of employees (by headcount) is 1076

2. Does Ordnance Survey report to a senior Government Department?
3. How is Ordnance Survey funded?

This information is exempt under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act Information accessible to applicant by other means.

4. Where do the HR/Payroll/Finance/Procurement transactional processes take place? Is this in-house or undertaken by another party?'

Our HR and Procurement processes are managed in-house, our payroll function is managed by another party.

Your enquiry has been processed according to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000. As all the requested information has been provided, we have determined that in all the circumstances of this case the Public interest consideration (section 17 FOIA) is not applicable in this instance.
