Flight diagram and imagery

Dear Requester

Request for Information FOI12327

Thank you for your e-mail of 21st September 2012, requesting:

I would like to request the supply of information about the following location under FOI guidelines:

Location: xxxxxx, Grid Ref: SJ800491

1) Aerial photographic survey data captured between 1st January 2009 and to date captured by a) OS staff and b) by subcontractors and agents working on behalf of OS where the data would be supplied to OS as part of the contractual survey agreement.

2) A copy in colour of the Flight Diagrams covering surveys conducted in the 2005 season by Kampsax or information with which to identify the date of each survey in this season. NB. I have a copy in black and white which does not differentiate the colour codes used for survey dates.

The requested details would be the flight diagrams or similar information necessary for the identification of a single aerial photographic image by time, location, capture medium and scale which would represent a single point in time at this location for the purposes of study and / or evidence in a legal, environmental, historical or other such investigation, together with details of the repository for the image.'

Ordnance Survey does hold this information. I attach to this e-mail 7 flight diagrams for the requested area which includes a colour copy of the survey conducted in your point 2 above.

With regard to the repository:

Imagery flown on: 29/9/11 (SHROPS01) and 19/4/11 (STAFFS02) are digital images and available from Ordnance Survey.

Imagery flown on: 23/5/10 by contractor. Ordnance Survey holds a full image of SJ7949 but only a collar image of SJ8049 - but this should include the area of interest.

Imagery flown on: 08/08/09 (film no 09-060) and would be aheld by NMR, Swindon.
