Career opportunities in our Corporate Office
Corporate Office is responsible for managing our corporate reputation, risk, strategy, and our relationships with stakeholders in government and the GI industry.
Through our Corporate Communications team we proactively engage with the media and manage our corporate brand, ensuring that our business continues to benefit from having a brand that is so well known and recognised. We also provide media handling and copywriting services, ensuring that our external messages are consistent and maintain a positive climate in which our business can flourish.
Other members of the Corporate Office team carry out policy research and analysis as well as creating and maintaining networks within government and the GI industry. This all helps maintain Ordnance Survey’s position as Britain’s national mapping agency.
This team also advises on the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes within the organisation, and provides operational support for our Director General and Chief Executive, and our Boards and Committees.
Public Affairs Practitioner/consultants - research the political, economic, social, technological and legal climate in which we operate, undertaking analysis and information to help influence our business strategy and our European policy framework.
They are well organised team workers with very good communication, problem solving and Microsoft Office® skills and a passion for research. Our consultants are knowledgeable about public affairs principles, ethics, methods and techniques.

They produce accurate and timely communications to promote our business and minimise risk to our reputation. Strongly committed to our business, they are excellent communicators to participate in broadcast interviews; and have great collaborating and influencing skills that enable them to build and maintain strong relationships with the media.
