The business relies on us to provide expert advice and support on communicating messages to the business; legal and intellectual property issues; office accommodation, and health and safety; conference and visitor arrangements; design, printing and publishing; and managing records.

In the Legal team we offer advice and support on all aspects of our business, including commercial and trading practices, data protection (for example, in relation to marketing activities and security of data), freedom of information, policy and legislative developments, compliance and disputes. The Intellectual Property Protection team protects and enforces our mapping and data intellectual property rights.

Our Facilities team provides services to our head office and field offices that include building maintenance and cleaning contracts and monitoring and control of our environmental policy. They also provide a range of services at our head office such as security, catering, mail distribution, transport bookings, accommodation moves and rearrangements, and childcare. They also provide a health and safety advice service, ensuring we apply the best industry health and safety practices relevant to our business.

Our Business Centre and Reception team provide a friendly and professional welcome for visitors to our head office and offer advice and help to internal users and external customers on arranging and hosting conferences in our Business Centre.

Print Services and Supply Chain manages the operational planning, print production, storage and distribution of our famous paper map series. We also provide design and publishing services for the whole of the business.

Our legal advisers are qualified solicitors who take responsibility for a wide range of commercial activities, including preparing, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, as well as providing sound business-focused advice on current legal issues. They have excellent negotiation, drafting and presentation skills.

Our Supply Chain Analyst looks for improvements that will increase supply chain effectiveness and efficiency, and enhance our customers’ experiences. They have a track record in business and process analysis, very good knowledge of project management and delivery tools, of the people, process and systems within the supply chain function, and have great presentation and influencing skills.
