Product Manager – Mobile Apps

Location: Southampton

Salary: £31,563 to £38,760, plus excellent benefits

Role: Product Manager - Mobile Apps

Role summary

The UK’s most-respected mapping company is looking for a Product Manager to help create a range of new mobile apps. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a growing area of the business and should appeal to any mobile product manager – after all, maps and mobile are made for each other.

The Product Manager will be responsible for the development of the apps from specification writing, to testing, to full launch. You will review and propose new features and content for existing apps, and with colleagues across the business, come up with new ideas, deliver functional specifications, prioritise and schedule development work.

Research and analysis of other apps and app functions will be necessary and the Product Manager will work closely with the Head of Mobile and wider product team to ensure our apps are exciting, useful and bug-free. They must be delivered on time and seamlessly slot in with our wider business strategy.

The role will collaborate across various teams (sales, marketing, IT, research) to collect requirements for product development and project manage internal resources to make sure that deadlines and targets are met.

You will be able to call on in-house developers and a Quality Assurance tester to help out. However, on occasion, projects may be outsourced so the applicant should also feel comfortable in managing external agencies.

As well as excellent organisational skills, we are looking for someone with a track record in launching complex apps and the processes involved in delivering mobile applications. An interest in mobile location and location services will definitely help!
