Election Maps

Resources

This web site www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/election-maps lends itself particularly well to the subjects of Geography and Citizenship, with a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy and ICT.  However there is scope to be used on Humanities courses, Cymraeg (Welsh), Modern Studies, Maths and English.

The site has applicability to a variety of age groups and abilities and links directly to the National Curriculum for both Geography and Citizenship at Key stages 2, 3 and 4.  As a resource for A level students looking for an individual study in political geography, it offers a treasure of secondary evidence.

Below are resources, created by the Geographical Association, that cover National Curriculum programmes of study for Geography and Citizenship.  The resources are designed to be used in conjunction with the mapping available on the election maps web site;
