Instructions for Windows users...

Right-click on the correct sized* wallpaper link below.

Choose the option 'Save target as...' (Microsoft) / 'Save link as...' (Netscape) and save it to a folder you will remember.

When this is done, minimise all your windows, right-click on an empty piece of desktop and a pop-up menu should appear. Left-click properties. Under the 'Background' tab, there is a list titled 'Wallpaper' click on the 'browse button, locate the file you downloaded, select it and click OK.

BMP files - for Windows users, available in the four following sizes*:

1280 x 1024 (1200 Kb)

1024 x 768 (770 Kb)

800 x 600 (470 Kb)

640 x 480 (302 Kb)


Instructions for Mac users...

Ctrl-click on the correct sized desktop-picture link below.

Choose the option 'download link to disk' and save it to a place you will remember.

Open the Appearance control panel and select the Desktop tab.

Drag the image on top of the control panel and click the Set Desktop button.

JPG files for Mac users and Window users who prefer to use their 'active desktop' settings, available in the four following sizes:

1280 x 1024 (1008 Kb)

1024 x 768 (676 Kb)

800 x 600 (460 Kb)

640 x 480 (321 Kb)

*If you want to find out how big your desktop is, minimise all your windows, right click on an empty piece of desktop and a pop-up menu should appear. Select 'properties' and a box will appear with tabs along the top. Choose the 'settings' tab – there should be a small box that says 'screen area' – this will tell you how big your screen is.

Instructions for downloading the screensaver

Click on the Download screensaver link below.

Save the file to a folder that you will remember.

When the file has downloaded, locate it in the appropriate folder and double-click on it.

This has now installed the screensaver as your default, click OK.


To change your screensaver options

Minimise all your windows and right-click anywhere on an empty piece of desktop.

Select Properties then choose the tab labelled Screen Saver.

You will see a small preview of your current screensaver and have various options available to alter.
