Wallpaper for computers and mobile devices
Brighten up your desktop or home screen with a new scene each month taken somewhere in Great Britain and sent in by you, our visitors. Other than the ones for smartphones and Facebook, each of our images features a calendar for the month.
For June 2013, we present a photo of dawn at Linwood, in the New Forest, sent in by Stuart Buchan. His is the third of the five images that won our recent photographic competition; we are showcasing them all here over the next few months.

This month, for the first time, we are offering an image at 2560 by 1440 pixels. Our largest yet, it is suitable for users with 27-inch monitors.
In view of the decline in popularity of the 1600 by 1200 px screen resolution, this is also the last month for which we will be making an image at this size available for download.
Desktop and laptop images
New wallpaper image files are normally published approximately one week before the end of each month. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources either to maintain an archive or to provide versions without the calendar.
