GIS Files 4: Putting it all in a system

Not only can they understand the location element of map data and manipulate information about shapes and structures, they can also work with attribute information to store intelligence about objects. It is the fusion of these two functions that makes this tool so powerful.

This chapter looks at the different ways in which GIS can provide practical solutions.
