Ordnance Survey – Great Britain's national mapping agency
Due to the over complicated nature of registering details in our old skills database we have redesigned the process to make it easier and quicker to use.
The fundamental aim of the skills database still stands, to collate the skills and specialisms of research institutions, universities, national mapping agencies and commercial organisation across the world who would like to conduct research with Ordnance Survey.
In the last 18 months we have successfully used registered organisations in collaborative ventures and to carry out research work on our behalf. With the continued expansion of our external research programme there are now more opportunities for you to become involved so we encourage you to register with us using this new simpler format.
We are always interested in receiving details from universities and research organisations that are interested in working with us. If you would like to become part of Ordnance Survey's research effort please complete the on-line form to have your details entered into the skills database. In the event that we release an invitation to tender, we will only be able to accept submissions from people who have registered their details in the skills database. If you are interested in the terms and conditions of the tendering process, these can be found in the 'Invitation to tender Research Consultancy' pdf document below.
Contact details are also enclosed in the pdf, alternatively if you would like to speak to someone about Ordnance Surveys external research programme, please email your contact details to: universityenquiries@ordnancesurvey.co.uk
