Data Management Services Licence
The Data Management Services Licence (DMSL) is open to any organisation that wishes to develop data management or hosting services for customers who already hold data licences with Ordnance Survey. It permits the development of web-oriented services such as web map serving (WMS) and web feature serving (WFS) services. No other services are included.
This licence appeals to some established Ordnance Survey Partners as well as other organisations such as System Suppliers and System Integrators who see themselves delivering increasingly innovative services to their customers using thin client technology rather than distributing data products.
The licence terms are pitched to allow access to national coverage of a wide range of Ordnance Survey data products at a price that encourages innovation and provides choice for end-user customers.
To find out more, please contact your Account Manager, if you have one, or our Customer Service Centre, quoting 'Data Management Services Licence'.

If you wish to apply for this licence please contact us as outlined above and we will send you the necessary documents for completion.

If you wish to appoint and use a subcontractor to assist you with the service development covered by this licence and they require access to Ordnance Survey, you can use the interactive Permitted Subcontractor Licence.
