Framework Contract (Partners)

Licensed partners may acquire digital map data from Ordnance Survey for inclusion in their own products and services or for distributing/reselling under the terms of the Framework Contract (Partners) (FCP).  This defines the over-arching terms and conditions of the commercial relationship between the Licensed Partner and Ordnance Survey and the obligations required of the Partner.

The FCP is an open ended licence signed once by Ordnance Survey and the Partner.

Ordnance Survey data licensed under the FCP is offered on Contract terms which sit below the FCP umbrella agreement.  A Contract is implemented for each defined use under which products and/or services will be licensed by the partner.  This defines the use, terms and conditions and end user rights applicable.  It also defines the digital data products that may be licensed for exploitation and the royalty models and royalty values applicable to each dataset used within each product or service licensed under the Contract.

Contracts are available for periods of one, two, three and four years and may be renewed or extended as required.

Contractor Use

You are permitted to sub-licence licensed data to Contractors for the purpose of  providing work on your behalf, under the terms of the Standard Form Contractor Licence. Where a Contractor executes a Standard Form Contractor Licence before it has access to any licensed data (and you maintain it in force) you will be deemed to have complied with Clause 5.4 of the licence.
