New Ordnance Survey Pricing and Licensing Model - Phase Two
Changes to Partner Pricing and Licensing Terms and Conditions.
In November 2010 we introduced the first phase of changes to our Pricing and Licensing model. These changes resulted in a series of shorter and easier to understand licences that granted wider rights to our Partners and their end users.
We are now pleased to announce the release of two new Contracts (as defined below) on 01 April 2011 which replace certain Specific Use Contracts.
On 18 November 2010 we launched the Framework Contract (Partners) (the Framework) which amalgamated the Distributor Framework Agreement and the Specific Use Framework Partner Licence (SUFPL). The Framework supports a set of rationalised contracts (Contracts) that enable the distribution of Ordnance Survey data together with the use of Ordnance Survey data in specific products and/or services. These Contracts are intended to replace all Specific Use Contracts (SUCs) under the SUFPL.
The first set of Contracts (being the Consumer Applications and Websites Contract, the Distribution Contract and the Navigation Contract) were, together with the Framework, made available on 18 November 2010. We have now made two new Contracts available from 01 April 2011. These are the Printed Products Contract and the Viewing, Tracking and Scheduling Contract.
The Printed Products Contract will replace the following Specific Use Contracts
- Publishing Products Specific Use Contract;
- Reports Services Specific Use Contract; and
- Plot terms from the VPE Service Specific Use Contract.
The Viewing, Tracking and Scheduling Contract will replace the following Specific Use Contracts
- Car Sharing Products Specific Use Contract;
- ASP Car Sharing Services Specific Use Contract;
- ASP Tracking Services Specific Use Contract;
- Fleet Management Products Specific Use Contract;
- Web Data Preview Service Specific Use Contract;
- Land Search Services Specific Use Contract; and
- View terms from VPE Specific Use Contract.
These overviews explain key changes to the framework and provide summarises of the new contracts.
Existing Partners can view the new contracts. New customers wishing to view these contracts should contact their account manager, if they have one, or our Customer Service Centre.
These questions and answers have been put together to provide further detail to existing partners on moving to the new model.
