Christmas delivery route is all mapped out

Rudolph and his red nose may have to take a back seat when Santa Claus comes to town this Christmas Eve. For the jolly man has hundreds of Ordnance Survey maps to call on to find his way.

And planning his route could not be simpler, as the nation’s map maker has every part of Britain covered. And with different styles of mapping to suit everyone’s favourite activities, Santa is also expecting to find his sleigh full of gift-wrapped copies to be delivered as inexpensive Christmas stocking fillers.

For anyone who likes to explore the great outdoors – be it on foot, cycle or horseback – there are the local OS Explorer Maps. These are so detailed they bring the countryside to life.

For motorists who – like Santa – want to plan their journeys in advance, there is the OS Travel Map – Road series. Eight of these maps are spread across the whole country.

And for all those who just want to get to know an area better, or perhaps plan next year’s holiday, there is a series of 204 OS Landranger Maps for all of Britain.
