Ordnance Survey appoints insurance strategist

Tony Darwall has joined Ordnance Survey, Great Britain’s mapping agency, as Strategic Development Manager for the insurance sector.

Tony is bringing the wealth of 18 years’ experience in general insurance to Ordnance Survey at a time when the market for geographic information in the insurance sector is rapidly expanding.

He has performed senior sales management roles as both an insurer and in the service-provider environment. Prior to joining Ordnance Survey, Tony was commercial director of a specialist third-party administration business.

Commenting on his appointment, Tony said: "I am hugely excited to be joining Ordnance Survey at a time when more and more insurers are becoming aware of the value of geographic information and the significant benefits it can bring to their business".
