Santa has a helping hand up his sleeve for this year’s Christmas deliveries. He’s discovered Ordnance Survey’s online service where customers can order individually printed leisure maps centred on anywhere in Britain – even their own home.

Called OS Select, these site-centred maps are ideal for anyone looking for a gift that’s special yet practical. Friends and relatives, who enjoy the outdoors, could open their stockings to find a map centred on their favourite walk or place.

Each map has the same details as those off-the-shelf, but the area covered – and the title – is personalised. It’s a unique way of making friends or relatives the centre of attention this Christmas – yet the maps cost less than £20 each.

For a great value stocking filler, the full range of Ordnance Survey’s maps is available to buy online: pink-covered OS Landranger maps for planning days out, the orange-covered OS Explorer Map series for outdoor activities – and the latest OS Travel Route Map 2009 for motoring.

Those who can’t wait for Santa can visit www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/leisure and order maps online for delivery within days.
