Call for speakers at Location 09

Ordnance Survey is inviting experts to speak at its annual Partner Conference – Location 09.

The event attracts over 300 businesses in the geographic information market across a wide range of sectors, including navigation, banking, and insurance, land and property, and transport.

Ordnance Survey’s Partner Marketing Manager, Paula Langford-Smith, comments: "The geographic information market is fast moving and the conference is a unique opportunity for speakers to present their vision for the future. You don’t need to be an existing Ordnance Survey partner to take part, so if you want to be involved, we’d love to hear from you."

This year the conference is being held on 20–21 May at Sopwell House in St Albans.Suggested topics for speakers include:

  • The use of geographic information in location services.
  • The future of satellite navigation.
  • The use of geographic information to manage fleets of vehicles.
  • The use of geographic information for financial services.
  • Targeting pedestrians, hikers and cyclists with location services.
  • Leveraging geographic information on the Internet and mobile devices.
  • What is the future of mobile Internet and digital mapping?
  • The future of paper map publishing – how to survive in a digital age.
  • Using location to protect your brand – keeping your one brand alive in a world dominated by global players.
