RESEARCH TERMS OF USE
This page tells you the terms on which you may access and make use of the Research Publications (the “Research Publication”) published on the Ordnance Survey website (our “Site”). Please read the terms of use carefully before accessing any Research Publications. By clicking on the ‘I Agree’ icon and by accessing/using the Research Publications you agree to be legally bound by these terms of use. If you do not agree to be legally bound by them please refrain from accessing / using the relevant pages.
a. Unless, otherwise stated, the Research Publications are subject to Crown copyright.
b. You may view, download, print, copy and use the Research Publications for your own personal use.
c. You may also use the Research Publications for the purpose of, or in connection with, further research, training, seminars and presentations relating to geographical information related topics. We are interested to know more about how our research is being used in the wider community, so we invite (but not oblige) you to supply us with a copy of any derivative works you create using the Research Publications. Unfortunately we will be unable to reimburse you for any such copies provided.

f. Where a particular Research Publication is identified as being copyright of a third party (either solely or jointly), you must ensure that the alternative copyright acknowledgement attached to such Research Paper is reproduced in all copies of the Research Paper.
g. Any identified contributors to the Research Publications assert their right to be identified as the author and therefore, in addition to the applicable copyright acknowledgement, you must ensure that the names of such identified contributors are always acknowledged.

a. The Research Publications have been prepared for information purposes only. They are not designed to constitute definitive advice on the topics covered and any reliance placed on the contents of the Research Publications is at the sole risk of the reader.
b. Ordnance Survey provides no warranty, representation or undertaking of any kind, (express or implied) (including, but without limitation, as to the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of the Research Publications).
c. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ordnance Survey accepts no responsibility for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, damage or inconvenience, howsoever caused, arising from, or in connection with, any use of, or reliance placed upon, the Research Publications.
d. You shall indemnify Ordnance Survey for any third party claim made against us which results from your use of the Research Publications.
a. We aim to update the Research pages of our Site regularly and we may change the Research Publications and other content therein at any time. If the need arises we may need to suspend or restrict access to the Research Publications. If we do so we will endeavour to restore the service as soon as reasonably practicable.
b. These Research Terms of Use should be read in conjunction with the Ordnance Survey web site terms and conditions, but in the event of any inconsistency between the two, these Research Terms of Use shall take precedence.
c. We may revise these Research Terms of Use (and our Ordnance Survey web site terms and conditions) at any time. You are responsible for reviewing the terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes.
d. These Research Terms of Use shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
