To locate 1:10 000 Scale raster data tiles in their correct geographical position in a GIS they need to be 'georeferenced'.

The 1:10 000 Scale Colour Raster legend is available to view or download as a PDF file. It provides a glossary of symbols used to represent features such as vegetation, boundary information and water features.

The spreadsheet contains a list of all 1:10 000 scale raster tiles and a date to indicate when they were last revised. This spreadsheet is regularly updated, normally at the beginning of each month
Revised tiles are loaded into the data ordering system as soon as they are completed by our production team but the timing of the supply of these tiles to customers or partners will be dependent on the terms in their product contract

Although Tiles are supplied whole and not clipped to fit geographic areas.
Can I georeference the data file?
To locate 1:10 000 Scale Raster data tiles in their correct geographical position in a GIS they need to be 'georeferenced'. Refer to the Technical Information or follow the link below about geo-referencing.
http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/products/georeferencing/aboutpopup.html
If you need to georeference the data this can only be achieved in AutoCAD® or a GIS and requires the user to create their own file. Virtually all GIS will read either a MapInfo® TAB or an ESRI® TFW world file. Both differ slightly in the way that they are set up, so the user needs to identify which system they can use.
A georeferencing file for each tile in the series is available for free download, in either TIFF World File or MapInfo TAB file
Does Ordnance Survey provide a Legend containing the symbols?
A Legend is available to download as a PDF via the Technical Information pages for this product
