AddressBase products: - Change Only Updates Release July 2013

Ordnance Survey is pleased to announce the release of the Change Only Updates (COU) for the AddressBase products in the next few months. Working closely with GeoPlace LLP to develop and create COU for all the AddressBase products in both GML and CSV formats, we are now in a position to implement the supply of the COU as part of the AddressBase 6 weekly supply, week beginning 8th July 2013.

The COU data consist of three indicators

  • Updates
  • Inserts
  • Deletes

Applying COU from July 2013

To enable the transition for those customers opting to receive COU supplies; the following information identifies the steps required for COU implementation:-   

Baseline

It is advised that to maximise the benefit of the forthcoming July COU data a full supply of the AddressBase products should be applied to customer’s data holdings. This ensures you have a complete set of address to then apply the COU information to.

Customers who are contracted to receive COU supplies will be automatically sent a full supply of their AddressBase product area/ coverage Epoch 15 from 28th May 2013, unless have specified otherwise, to be used as their baseline dataset.

Online ordering portal- Partners & Commerical customers

Online ordering for Public Sector -PSMA/ OSMA are advised to pull across the full tile supply data for their baseline holdings.

Change only update release

From 8th July 2013 Epoch 16 we will start releasing the COU to all customers according to their COU supply schedule. The intention is for this first release4 of COU to be applied to the Epoch 15 baseline data.

Online ordering portal- Partners & Commercial customers

Online ordering for Public Sector-  PSMA/ OSMA portal are advised to pull across their tiled COU supply data and apply to the Epoch 15 tiled baseline data holdings.
