OS VectorMap District map extractOS VectorMap® District is a map on which you can overlay your own information. It can also be customised by selecting and styling different features in different ways.

Ideal for creating web applications, OS VectorMap District contains only the most important information to give you a clear, uncluttered backdrop map.

The beta version is now available.

Technical details

Format: ESRI® Shapefile interchange format (Vector) and TIFF with LZW compression (Raster).

Tile size: 10km x 10km

Data structure: Vector and raster.

Attributes: Vector: uses a ‘real world’ approach that aids styling via the identification of thematic layers, including settlement named places, roads, woodland and administrative boundaries. Raster: TIFF raster data has a predefined output.

Scale: District.

Update frequency: To be confirmed. Beta version currently available.

Supply: Online download and DVD.

Coverage: Great Britain.
