Period licence services for OS MasterMap are available to customers from Ordnance Survey directly, or through Ordnance Survey Licensed Partners who offer OS MasterMap data as part of an added-value or specific service.

Pay As You Use (PAYU) services are available only through Ordnance Survey Licensed Partners.

Period licence services allow access (supply on media or via FTP server) to OS MasterMap data for standard licensed use, covering use of the data within your business or organisation, together with certain display and promotional uses as specified in the Framework Direct Licence (339 Kb PDF):

• Includes update maintenance.
• Minimum period of one year, with options for two and three year terms. Ordnance Survey licences will automatically continue at the end of each licence term and thereafter on an annual basis, unless continuation is cancelled or the continuation term is altered for two or three years by the customer.
• There is a minimum annual contract value (MACV) of £500 is applied to each individual layer of OS MasterMap and the minimum charge for expanding an existing contract is £100.

Specific use services provide for access to OS MasterMap data for specific applications or business uses:

• Through Ordnance Survey Licensed Partners only;
• May operate similarly to either Period licence services or PAYU services.
