Points of Interest - Product enhancements in March 2012
Points of Interest is continually being enhanced to improve its functionality and content for customers. The changes being implemented in the March 2012 release incorporate improvements to feature attribution and the classification scheme.
A new version of the User guide and technical specification will be published to coincide with the March 2012 release. To help customers prepare their systems for the product changes, the following information has been provided. It is likely that customers will need to amend their data load processes to take account of the new data structure to ensure their update loads successfully.
Feature attribution
In summary, the changes to the feature attribute fields are:
New attribute
- UPRN - may not be populated for the March 2012 release
- Administrative Boundary

Classification scheme version 3.1
Classification scheme changes have been implemented to make it more logical and to reflect the improved content of the product. For information please see the following documents;
