Being a member of a public sector collective agreement (such as the PSMA or OSMA) gives your organisation access to these benefits and supports collaboration with other organisations involved in the public sector service provision.

Find out more about how you can benefit from use of Ordnance Survey data in the sections below:

How are these activities made possible?

This happens thanks to two public sector mapping agreements - the PSMA (which covers England and Wales) and the OSMA (which covers Scotland).

Membership of one of these agreements gives a public sector organisation access to a range of Ordnance Survey products. This helps these organisations to deal with a wide range of challenges and make use geographic and location data across a range of applications.

Who are our customers?

To date, over 2,800 organisations have joined the PSMA and over 100 organisations are now members of the OSMA. These include local authorities, district councils, health departments, national park authorities, emergency services and many other public sector bodies.

To find out more, please see our customer overview or visit our case-study map.

A licence for collaboration?

Our common licensing arrangements allow our members to share our data with third parties legally and without the need for prior arrangement with us. The licensing programme also allows us to provide better services to citizens and reduce duplication, providing cost savings to the public sector, as well as giving organisations better efficiency internally. This means that public sector organisations can collaborate and partner on projects more easily, plan and meet e-governance targets more efficiently, and provide new ways to join up the provision of services and policies for citizens of Great Britain.
