The new AddressBase™ products are now available

AddressBase| AddressBase Plus| AddressBase Premium

The AddressBase™ products are derived from a publicly owned spatial address database, which offers members a range of definitive address products.

For the very first time, a single address database has been created from a number sources - Local Authorities, Ordnance Survey and Royal Mail PAF information, to

produce one definitive source of spatial address products. Accurate addressing data is vital in areas as diverse as transport planning and 999 emergency responses, to fraud detection and mail delivery. A major benefit of the new product range is that the information has been collected and verified at a local level.

Other benefits of having a single government source for addresses are:

  • Delivers efficiency gains via streamlining operations and collaborative services
  • Enables greater partnership working with other public sector bodies, private and third-sector organisations
  • Improves the address base for essential services such as emergency response, the processing of benefits claims, the management and collection of local taxation.
  • Reduces duplication in effort on maintaining separate address related information
  • Allows local authorities to obtain out of area addresses for wider area of service responsibilities.
