Public sector customers

Ordnance Survey works with a wide range of public sector organisations, providing digital mapping products that help them deliver their services to the public. Any organisational activity requiring precise location data, information on addressing, route planning or geographiic knowledge of a particular area can benefit from using our products to increase efficiency, optimise resources and help to reduce costs. 

Recently we have helped to answer the following questions:

  • How can use digital maps to support planning activities?
  • How can we reach incidents faster?
  • How can we target our resources more efficently to target the greatest area of need?

Our high profile customers include 999 responders (the Police, Fire and ambulance services and the Maritime coast-guard agency) as well as central government departments and NHS/Primary Care Trusts.

However, our customer base includes almost all UK public sector organisations, including smaller organisations such as Town and Parish councils, Internal Drainage Boards and National Park Authorities.

Emergency Services

Health
