The One Scotland Mapping Agreement provides geographic information for scottish public sector bodies.

Who can join the One Scotland Mapping Agreement?

Nearly every public sector organisation in Scotland can become a member of the One Scotland Mapping Agreement (OSMA). This includes all local authorities, central government departments and many health organisations.

Please see the sections below to find out if your organisation is eligible.

Central Government

  • A body operating under the directions of the Scottish Parliament
  • Ministerial departments
  • Non-ministerial departments
  • Executive agencies
  • National or regional administration
  • Non-departmental public bodies (executive and advisory)
  • Tribunals
  • Public corporations listed in the Cabinet Office's ‘Public Bodies Database’

Local government

  • Scottish Local authorities
  • Scottish fire authorities and services
  • Scottish police authorities
  • Scottish National Park authorities
  • Scottish community councils
  • Passenger transport executives
  • Search and rescue contributor organisations in Scotland (such as RNLI & Mountain Rescue)

Health organisations

  • All Regional and Special Health Boards and any other NHS organisation in Scotland

Emergency services

  • The Fire Service
  • The Police
  • Ambulance services
  • The Maritime Coast Guard Agency
  • Search and Rescue organisations
