FloodMapping for emergencies

In an emergency

Please call 08456 05 05 05 and quote Mapping for emergencies.

Mapping for Emergencies is a free service provided to the emergency services whenever there is a threat to or loss of life. Paper mapping or geographic information can be supplied to help them respond to a major or civil emergency.

Our Central Control Team Leaders, on call at all times, work with the emergency services or other customers to provide data or other services as required.

Incidents we have supported in the past include:

  • major fire, flood or explosions;
  • terrorist activity;
  • major road/rail/air accidents;
  • outbreaks of animal diseases such as foot-and-mouth, swine fever and bird flu;
  • outbreaks of human diseases; and
  • police-coordinated searches for missing people.

Our Incident Managers will also consider any other situations of national interest that might warrant implementation of the procedures.

Should an incident take place that might require mapping, please call 08456 05 05 05.
