ITN weights and width attribution
This page provides information on weight and width attribution in OS MasterMap® Integrated Transport Network™ Layer (ITN).
Go to: Weights and width features captured | Weights and width attribution | Information for customers (TOID updates)
All physical weight and width restrictions related to bridges in Great Britain have been captured where signed. These restrictions complement the existing Road Routing Information (RRI) features and, in particular, height restrictions. These point features have been associated to the underlying RoadLink feature.
Data is supplied on written request to existing ITN Road Network with RRI customers as a separate CSV file.
Please note this is a frozen dataset which uses the December 2009 data.
Examples of captured real-world weight and width features
The following photographs show examples of the kinds of real-world restrictions that are captured by the weight and width features.

Figure 1: Example of a real-world weight restriction (weak bridge).

Figure 2: Example of a real-world width restriction (narrow bridge).

Figure 3: Example of a real-world width restriction (pinch points).

|
refRoadNode |
Logical |
T or F |
|
Indicator that the point references a RoadNode rather than a RoadLink. |
Notes for the table
If the refRoadNode field is ‘True’, the refRoadLink field is a reference to the RoadNode TOID rather than the RoadLink TOID.
If the refRoadNode field is ‘True’, it is possible that the RoadLink features either side of the RoadNode could have different roadNames. If this is the case, the two roadNames will be separated by ‘/’ (that is STATION ROAD/HILLSIDE). If only one of the RoadLink features is named, the roadName will be followed by ‘/’ (that is HAY LANE/).
No name will appear in the roadName column for DfT numbered road.
Information for customers (TOID updates)
One feature has been deleted from the November 2007 supply, ID 40899.
There are 34 new features (from ID 110066 to 110099).
The ITN data used as from the September 2008 Managed GB Set.
The TOIDs on the following features are updated due to changes to the network:
