Last Updated: March 2011
These terms and conditions (the ‘Terms’) apply to your use of Ordnance Survey’s websites at www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk, www.ordnancesurveyleisure.co.uk and any other websites from which we link to these terms (the ‘Website’).
Your use of the Website indicates acceptance of these Terms; please do not use it if you do not accept them.
We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. You should check the Website from time to time to review the latest Terms, as they are binding on you.
Other terms of use govern your use of particular pages or applications provided on the Website. To the extent that there is any conflict, any terms specific to those pages or applications take precedence over these Terms.

3.2 We do not vet and are not responsible for any Submissions.
3.3 You use and view all Submissions at your own risk and we do not warrant their accuracy or reliability. Views expressed in Submissions are those of individual contributors and not necessarily those of Ordnance Survey.
3.4 Submissions may not include any content which:

d) is defamatory;
e) breaches copyright or any other intellectual property rights;

3.5 We may remove or edit any Submissions at our discretion.
3.6 We have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who claims that any Submissions posted by you constitute a violation of their intellectual property.
3.7 Except where you have posted to a private area, we may treat any Submissions as non-confidential.
3.8 We do not claim copyright in any Submissions, but by posting a Submission you grant to us a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce and display the Submission to you on the Website or relevant application.
3.9 By posting a Submission in a publicly viewable area, or otherwise allowing public access to it, you also grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to:
- store, reproduce, distribute and display the Submission to third parties via the Website or relevant application;
- provide our users with a licence in the Submission for their personal, non-commercial use as specified in these terms or those of the relevant application.
3.10 Except in respect of any Submissions which may already have been saved or printed by other users, you may revoke this licence to your Submissions at any time by removing your Submission or, if removal is not possible via the relevant webpage or application, by contacting us.
3.11 You warrant that any Submissions you make comply with the requirements above, and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty.
4 Intellectual Property Rights

6.2 The content on our Website is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. We therefore disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance you or anyone else places on such content.
6.3 While we aim to ensure content we source from other parties is appropriate, we are not responsible for any such content, or for the contents of any Submissions.
6.4 To the maximum extent permitted by law, in relation to the Website, its content, and our obligations under these terms, we exclude:
- all representations, warranties and other terms (whether express or implied by law); and
- any liability for any loss or damage incurred by any user (including any loss of data, loss of profits, reputation or goodwill, anticipated savings, business, or losses suffered by third parties), whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential, even if foreseeable, and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise.
