Ordnance Survey – Great Britain's national mapping agency
We've compiled a list of the questions we often receive about the Accredited Data Consultant programme. We hope you find the answers useful.
Any individual from a Partner or Alliance organisation who provides consultancy services to Ordnance Survey customers. This can be either advice internally as a direct SLA/PGA/MSA customer organisation, or externally to a direct customer of Ordnance Survey.
The course only covers the OS MasterMap® products. The content covers a technical review of each product set and provides insight into our data collection technologies and techniques, product development processes and internal infrastructure for data storage and delivery.
The course is free of charge to attend and includes refreshments and lunch during the day. The delegate is expected to cover their own travel and accommodation costs.
As with all other commercial individual accreditation programmes, you are the accredited consultant. Your accreditation is regardless of who you work for.
Accreditation lasts for two years. After this time you will be obliged to update your knowledge by attending a renewal course (likely to be one day), and demonstrate application of knowledge over the previous period of accreditation.
No, there is an assessment at the end of the three day course, and an agreement covering the nature of our relationship that must be agreed to.
